customer service

It was some months ago that I was appointed to a new position in our company which we call "Customer Advocate". My first reaction was what does is it mean? How to translate it? in Arabic? in French? Or even in clear and concrete language? How to explain to my parents, my friends (and even sometimes to our customers) my exact role?
