MTDS specializes in Information Communication Technology (ICT) applications for economic and social development initiatives or ICT for Development (ICT4D). Access to knowledge and information is one key to sustainable human development and ICT is radically reshaping how knowledge and information is produced and distributed. ICT is transforming local and regional media industries, changing how public awareness campaigns are conducted, and reinforcing social and political advocacy work.

The company is contributing to this dynamic, in Morocco and in numerous other countries in Africa. MTDS’ ICT4D unit has demonstrated expertise in applying the latest in Web 2.0 applications (participative content management systems, online diffusion lists, web forums, blogs and podcasts) for education, training, civil society strengthening, civic education and youth empowerment. MTDS uses participatory project planning techniques to design relevant community services in partnership with local organizations. It develops technology solutions that are grounded in a careful consideration of its local partner’s needs and capacity. Sustainability and technical autonomy are two key priorities of MTDS projects.
